Our Story

Since 1968, UnidosUS has served the Latine community through its research, policy, and advocacy efforts. Previously known as NCLR (National Council of La Raza), UnidosUS is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that serves as the nation’s largest Latine civil rights and advocacy organization. Although it’s well known for its immigration work, UnidosUS has expertise in various issue areas. It is uplifting the diversity of the Latine community and advocating for more inclusion and more accurate representation of Latine history and Latine community. Through its unique combination of expert research, advocacy programs, and an Affiliate Network of nearly 300 community-based organizations, 50 of which are immigration legal service providers, across the United States and Puerto Rico, UnidosUS challenges the social, economic, and political barriers that affect Latines at the national and local levels.
