Our Story

National Partnership for New Americans, NPNA, was designed by leading immigrant advocacy organizations in 2012 to implement what seemed to be imminent immigration reform. It exists to advance an immigrant equity and inclusion agenda at all levels of government through policy, advocacy, and service programs that yield civic, social, and economic justice for immigrant and refugee communities. NPNA aims to build democracy, build network capacity through a service-to-organizing model, and develop pro-immigrant narratives.

NPNA advocated to make naturalization more affordable and accessible and supported the naturalization of over 250,000 U.S. citizens. NPNA is an important national convener as lead host of the National Immigrant Inclusion Conference (NIIC), and a leader in immigrant integration policy with its flagship New Deal for New Americans Act, the first immigrant integration package introduced in Congress.
